Q & A
Answers to the questions we hear most often at the news desk.
- Q.Do you do a hard credit check?
- A.No. We only run a soft search, which does not appear on your credit file to other lenders and does not affect your score.
- Q.How quickly will I be approved?
- A.Most applications get a decision in around 60 seconds. You'll see the outcome on-screen as soon as you submit.
- Q.Do I need a guarantor?
- A.No. TrustPay plans are written in your name only. There is no requirement for a homeowner, family member or friend to co-sign.
- Q.Do I need a deposit?
- A.No deposit and nothing upfront. Your first instalment lines up with your usual pay date.
- Q.What if I'm on benefits?
- A.Universal Credit, PIP, ESA and other UK benefits all count as income. Poor credit histories on benefits are welcome.
- Q.What if I've been declined by O2, EE or Vodafone?
- A.Being declined by the networks is very common on TrustPay applicants. Our lending criteria are different and built for poor credit.
- Q.Is there any interest?
- A.No. TrustPay is 0% APR — the cost of the phone is split evenly across your term with nothing added on top.
- Q.How long does delivery take?
- A.Free tracked UK delivery within 10 working days of approval.
- Q.Can I cancel?
- A.Yes, within the statutory 14-day cooling-off period. After that you can settle the plan early at any time without penalty.
- Q.Can I get an iPhone or a Samsung flagship?
- A.Yes — iPhone 15/16/17, Galaxy S24/S25, Pixel 9 Pro and other flagships are all available on TrustPay for poor credit.
